Due to the number of requests we receive for using our weather photographs on non-commercial personal web sites, school projects, non-profit and charitable pages, we would like to make it possible for you to do so, as long as the following requirements are met to protect our images from misuse. And by the way.... we thank you for asking!

A: School projects: Only those pictures credited to Warren Faidley or Weatherstock^® are released for school projects. You may print these images for such non-commercial use, without further permission. Any use however, may not involve any commercial use or association with a commercial project or product. All pictures must maintain a copyright notice: © Warren Faidley/Weatherstock. Images with credits other than Warren Faidley or Weatherstock^® are not released for such copying.

A: Personal web pages: Images (pictures) may be released for copying to web pages ONLY - if ALL of the following requirements are met. Any copying or reproduction without meeting the guidelines below will result in automatic reproduction fees* in addition to possible US copyright violation actions. All images are water marked for tracking and security. We also conduct regular searches for our images using both watermarks and other methods.

You are not required to contact our office for personal webpage use, as noted herein, if the following requirements are met.

Mandatory requirements:

1: Only images credited to photographer "Warren Faidley" and or "Weatherstock^®" may be used.

2: Images may be used on non-commercial, personal webpages ONLY. If your page is commercial in any way, to promote yourself (as a business or service), a business, a web service provider, an organization, or if the page contains any commercial ads, buttons or banners copying is NOT allowed and such uses will require further release and permissions from Weatherstock^®. Government and public safety/educational organizations or schools may also use our images for websites at no charge as long as the requirements herein are met.

3: Charitable and non-profit interests must contact our office in advance to acquire written permission before a courtesy use release will be granted.

3: IMAGES CAN ONLY BE PROVIDED (without a fee) as copies downloaded from our pages. WE CANNOT download files to you! If you need a download from us, we must charge a $39.00 (per image) processing fee, since we must stop our normal business/computer operations and scan - format - and forward the image(s) to you. (This special fee applies to personal use as noted herein ONLY. For all other uses, including commercial or editorial uses you must contact our office for fees and licensing).

Another option for discounted images is to use our royalty free" CD. For one low price you have access to over 100 weather images.

4: All images MUST contain the copyright and credit as seen on the image. Do not crop or otherwise removed the credit.

5: Images may not be used for any illegal, derogatory, libelous or otherwise damaging or misleading purpose. You may not create or otherwise devise a method, link or system to avoid these requirements and still use the images. Such abuses will be considered as a violation of copyright laws.

Artistic Reproductions:

Artistic reproductions derived from Mr. Faidley's pictures, including, paintings, watercolors, etchings and drawings are allowed if all of the following requirements are met: If the artistic reproductions are for home or personal use, no compensation or permission is required.

Any reproductions made for profit, commercial viewing or paid viewing require a mandatory 15% commission (of gross) upon the sale or commercial use. You must notify our office of any and all such renderings before they are sold. If we do not receive such notification in advance, a 50% commission (of gross) is required. Bulk printings, e.g., posters or postcards of artworks derived from Mr. Faidley's pictures, must be licensed through our office before printing for licensing. All artworks, including personal and commercial pieces must include the following on the reverse (always visible) side of the artworks and/or the mounting materials: "Artworks derived from a © Copyright picture of Warren Faidley." Any authorized renderings are violations of US copyright laws.

Warning! Please note. There is no such thing as a "fair use rule or law," as applied to the copying and use of images on the Internet. Any copying or use of a picture without permission from the copyright owner is a violation of copyright laws.

This is a conditional, courtesy release and it grants you no other use rights than those listed herein. Images may not be printed, copied, altered, displayed, sold, distributed or otherwise used without our expressed written permission and/or licensing and invoicing. Any copied image(s) shall be removed immediately upon the request of Weatherstock^®. Moving footage is not released for copying.

Weatherstock reserves the right to amend these requirements at any time without notice to the user.

*Abuses or unauthorized uses will be billed at up to 500% of our normal fees for similar use, in addition to possible copyright violation actions.
